Fashion Blogger of the Week

This week our Fashion Blogger of the Week is Tramanh from Phi Style. Her site is full of her amazing personal style, fun photoshoots, planning of her wedding, and so much more. Let's take a moment to meet Tramanh---

Why did you start blogging?
I had been a personal/lifestyle blogger for years and a friend who had a style blog encouraged me to make one too.

How would you describe your personal style?
A tenuous line between effortless and high-maintenance.

If you could raid anyone's closet, who would it be and why?
Mary-Kate Olsen. She has such a range of casuals and formals, yet all cohesive and well-balanced. I also like that it's not overly girly, not overly sexy, not overly androgynous, not overly casual.

Who would you love to give a wardrobe makeover?
Britney. Why are you wearing that? =(

If you could give one fashion tip to anyone, what would it be?
Dress with a purpose, but look effortless.

and now time for some fun QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS---

gold or silver?
Both. At the same time.

heels or flats?
Heels.

vintage or DIY?
DIY.

front row or backstage?
Front row. I just want to dance.

lipstick or lipgloss?
Lipstick.

If you have yet to stop by Phi-Style make sure you take a minute to check it out. You will love it!

Fashion Blogger of the Week

You may remember the first week that Fashion Blogger of the Week was issued I featured Dylana from Nana in Wonderland...well today I'm featuring her sister Natalie from Natalie Off Duty. I have been following Natalie's blog for quite some time now. She is so effortlessly chic and always looks so stylish. I am always looking forward to see what she will be wearing next! Let's take a moment and meet Natalie---

Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as a way to share my own personal style with others are the world. The whole world of blogging really opened my eyes to the lifestyles of people from every corner of the world and I was fascinated.

How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is kind of boyish with a little feminine touch. I like classic pieces like blazers and button-ups, but I do love really beautiful dresses. Much of my wardrobe is vintage which makes getting dressed that much more fun.

If you could raid anyone's closet, who would it be and why?
I would raid Daria Werbowy's closet. It looks like a total mess filled with vintage and designer. I'm sure I'd find some really unique pieces!

Who would you love to give a wardrobe makeover?
I'd love to give Victoria Beckham a wardrobe makeover. I'd love to see what she looks like without the super tights dresses and so much exposed skin. I'd like to see her in David's clothes, a big blazer and trousers.

If you could give one fashion tip to anyone, what would it be?
Dress for your body-type and don't just wear the latest trends. You have to be comfortable or you'll ruin your day!

and now time for some fun QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS---

gold or silver?

Kate Moss for Topshop

I can't believe I almost forgot to post that Kate Moss's summer collection for Topshop launches today! I actually haven't been to Topshop in ages...maybe I'll stop by this weekend if I get a chance.

This new collection is filled with a number of vintage inspired pieces, a handful of limited edition items, and pieces that are very feminine in her signature bohemian style. Below are some of my favorite items from her collection...but I have to say, it was difficult just picking a few. I really love it all!!! Well done Kate, well done!

What do you think of Kate's collection? Which items are your favorite???

Wedding Wear

Springtime is here, and you know what that means---WEDDING SEASON! I actually just attended a wedding about two weeks ago, and don't have another one until August. But I know so many people that are swamped with going to weddings over the next few months...so I thought it would be fun to put together a guide for attire. Hopefully after reading this and checking out my suggested looks you'll have a better idea as to what is appropriate and you won't stare in your closet for hours trying to come up with something to wear.

A couple other standard rules we have for wedding wardrobe---
~Don't wear white...leave that to the bride. But it your dress has white in the pattern (like black and while stripes or something like that) we say wear it. Just don't show up in an all white (or ivory) dress.
~Don't wear something that is too short or too tight. You aren't going to a club!
~Lighter colors are usually better for day weddings. Darker colors for evening events.
~If there is no set dress code take in consideration where the ceremony/reception are taking place, as well as the time of day.
~It's better to be over dressed than under dressed. But be smart about this...don't show up to a beach wedding in a gown. That's just silly!

Lookin' Fab

The other day Sarah Jessica Parker was seen in this *adorable* outfit on her way to an interview in Central Park. I just love it when SJP brings a little bit of Carrie to her wardrobe! I am really excited to see what she's going to be wearing when she attends the Sex and the City 2 premiere, as well as all the other promotions she'll be doing for the movie. You know she'll look fabulous as always.

What do you think of this look on SJP?

Fashion Blogger of the Week

This week's featured fashion blogger is Nubia's Nonsense. I've had the pleasure of meeting Nubia twice and she is the sweetest girl. She has a very eclectic style and isn't afraid of stepping outside the box...and I love that!

Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging for fun, almost as an outfit diary. I always admired other blogs as well and thought it would be fun to start my own. It’s very expressive and artistic to me. You meet great individuals through blogging as well and it’s an immense amount of inspiration being thrown all over the place. I find it very refreshing. I started blogging so I can inspire others in the ways I’ve been inspired, as well as having something to look back on one day for my own personal memories.

How would you describe your personal style?
My style is very eclectic and all over the place. One day I’m preppy. The next I’m living in the 80’s, the next I’m bohemian. I don’t really place myself in any sort of category. I dress myself according to the mood I wake up in or sometimes according to what’s in my closet instead of my dirty hamper, haha.

If you could raid anyone's closet, who would it be and why?
This is a tough question, I think at this certain moment I would raid Rihanna’s closet. I think she always looks so fierce and funky. I’ve seen so many different looks on her that I think it would be super fun to go through her closet and play dress up. She’s very creative and well put together.

Who would you love to give a wardrobe makeover?
I can’t really think of anyone honestly. I think of fashion as a personal choice as of self expression and I wouldn’t want to force anyone to be something that they’re not. I wouldn’t mind giving a girl friend or 2 some tips though but they think I’m nuts anyway! I like them just the way they are.

If you could give one fashion tip to anyone, what would it be?
I think it would be to play more with accessories. A lot of times I have friends who think their outfits are dull or they feel like something is missing. Accessories can do A LOT to an outfit.

and now time for some everyone's favorite section...QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS---

gold or silver?
Silver

heels or flats?
Heels

vintage or DIY?
Vintage (I am a big DIY fan though)

front row or backstage?
Front row

lipstick or lipgloss?
Lipstick that shimmers!

Make sure you stop on by and visit Nubia's Nonsense!

Fashion Ambush

The other week I asked if I should bring back my attempt at showing off some street fashion...and the response was overwhelming! So I thought I'd give it another shot.

Last night while I was at Cubicle Chic's launch party, I saw this girl wearing the cutest dress. I had to stop her and ask if I could feature her on Snapshot Fashion. She thought I was joking...but when I told her that it was no joke she was flattered.

We talked for a while about how she loves to shop in vintage stores, how she got this dress at TJ Maxx (what a great find!!!), how her friend made her the jewelry she is wearing, and how she loves freebies (who doesn't?!?!). Let's take a second to meet her---

Name: Metasabia
Resides in: NYC
Her style icon: "Gwyneth Paltrow, because she always looks chic and like a lady. And Katharine Hepburn because I have always loved everything she has ever worn and actually love everything she has ever said."

Cubicle Chic Launch Party

Last night I was happy to attend the launch party for one of my favorite new blogs, Cubicle Chic. Founders Lindsay and Meredith were both as sweet as pie, and it was great to get a chance to meet them. Since you probably didn't get to attend, here are my pictures from last night.

Their party was held at M1-5. Didn't they have their party room set up cute?

I love their logo...and I really love that they dressed up to match it!

Lindsay, me, and Meredith

My husband wouldn't stop snapping pics!

If you have yet to visit Cubicle Chic stop on over today and check it out!!!
