*Happy New Year's from Snapshot Fashion*

Today was a lazy day at home...which in turn resulted in making a stop motion fashion video with my husband. It's 100% silly...but, fun regardless! I have no idea how I roped him in to starring in it. Here we show you how we get ready for fun New Year's Eve parties. What to wear, what to wear. The options are endless.

The real kicker is that we have no NYE plans for tomorrow night. A quiet night at home, making some yummy food, drinking some bubbly, and watching the hilarity of Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin while they count down to the new year. What are your plans???

Lots of driving this weekend...but it should be a good time. And then we are celebrating the holidays with my parents next weekend. Busy, busy!

Gift Guide- Stocking Stuffers

I know when I was younger I LOVED getting small gifts in my Christmas stocking. You have to admit, a lot of great gifts come in small packages. Here are some stocking stuffers that will make the holidays even more special...

I adore Benefits Cosmetics...especially their sets. Their Big Beautiful Eyes set is one of my all time favorites! It comes complete with shadows, powdered liner, brushes, and concealer. You don't have to be a professional to get your eye makeup looking stellar...this set comes with some easy to follow directions which makes it simple to look amazing!

Philosophy has great smelling 3 in 1 products (shampoo/conditioner/body wash). One of my favorite scents has to be cinnamon buns. Yes, cinnamon buns! Need I say more?

I love getting Christmas ornaments for gifts. So many of them on my tree right now were gifted to me. There are some adorable foodie ornaments at Sur La Table. Doesn't this chocolate covered strawberry ornament look delicious?!?!

In my book tights make a fantastic gift! Yeah, I know I have a legwear obsession...but trust me, you can never have too many tights. ModCloth has some adorable options. These Grey Peacock Feather Tights are one of my top picks.

Since it is December, and it is the month of giving we have another really cool giveaway coming to Snapshot Fashion tomorrow. So be sure to stop back!

Carey in W Magazine

To be completely honest I really don't know all that much about Carey Mulligan. What I do know is that I adore her style, and think she is just as cute as a button. When I came across this recent shoot for W Magazine I had to stop in my tracks.

Could this girl be more photogenic??? Breathtaking, right? Gosh, I wish I could pull off short hair like her (I tried it super short once when I was 16...not a good look on me...at all).

To see more photos from this shoot stop on over to W Magazine. What do you think of this shoot???

Interview with The Blue Stitch

A few days ago I was lucky enough to meet up with Heather Forrey, designer of handbags and totes for The Blue Stitch. We chatted over coffee and tea and talked about her designs...she even showed me some of her sketches. One of the nicest girls I met in a while. She even made a Snapshot Fashion tote specifically for myself and my readers. Let's take a moment and get to know Heather---

Snapshot Fashion: How do you come up with your designs?
Heather: I get inspired by looking at clothing. The way the neck of a sweater lays, or the folds on a dress. I love looking on Pinterest.

Snapshot Fashion: When did you start making bags?
Heather: I've been making bags for about four to five years now. When I started designing bags I used patterns...but not anymore.

Snapshot Fashion: Describe your bags in three words.
Heather: Functional, fun, and exciting. As a busy mom, functionality is key with everything.

Snapshot Fashion: Where do you see yourself professionally in 5 years?
Heather: Making others happy will satisfy me. I've been thinking about making a stylish, yet functional diaper bag line.

**********************************************************************

If you are interested in the Snapshot Fashion tote bag ($40) send Heather an email. If you like the style of the bag, yet the color or print isn't for you...she can make the Snapshot Fashion tote with the color and print of your liking! Please note that even though a specific design is used, because they are all handmade they may differ slightly.

The Blue Stitch

I don't know what the weather is by you...but it is pouring rain here. I swear it has rained Tuesdays/Wednesdays for the last month or so. The wind is so loud it is scaring my pour little dog. And we are suppose to wake up to snow on the ground. Needless to say, my outfit pics had to be taken inside today.

I have to say, I'm BEYOND excited to tell you all about this adorable tote made specifically for Snapshot Fashion by The Blue Stitch. This lilac and black bag has an assymetrical flap, three buttons (on each side), and an adorable vine print. Isn't it too cute? Well, it's your lucky day...The Blue Stitch has made this tote available for all of my readers for only $40! Please note that this tote is handmade so even though they will be the same design, not every bag will look absolutely identical. Be sure to contact The Blue Stitch today to order your tote!!!

shirt- H&M

The inside of this bag is great. I love it when my bags have one big compartment. There is also a little pocket which is great to put cell phones or lipstick in, and an attached key chain.

I love the buttons! I love black and purple! I love The Blue Stitch!

How will you rock your Snapshot Fashion tote by The Blue Stitch? Email Heather at The Blue Stitch to order your Snapshot Fashion tote today!

My husband was cracking me up when he took this last picture. Don't ask...

Stay tuned later this week to read the interview I did recently with Heather Forrey (owner of The Blue Stitch). We met over coffee and tea and talked at length about her inspirations for her bags, she showed me her sketches, and just had a lovely conversation. She was too sweet! Thanks again Heather!!!

Gift Guide- Accessories

I absolutely love accessories. Adding them to any outfit gives you instant style. They also are a very simple gift when you are in a pinch. I find that these make fantastic gifts for someone you know really well...or someone that you hardly know at all. Here are my favorite accessories to gift---

Hats are a fun way to add some personality to your look. Winter time is always a great time to wear an adorable cloche. This one, available at ModCloth, is my current favorite...probably because it is pink.

Jewelry always makes a great gift. There are some amazing pieces available at t + j Designs. Unique styles at affordable prices...gotta love them!

Gloves are a fantastic item for the holidays...especially if you live where it is cold. You know the recipient will use them...and if they are cute, you know they will love wearing them. Check out these beautiful Leather Cashmere Lined Gloves from Coach. They come in seven different colors (again, I'm partial to pink!) and they are sure to make anyone's holiday a little brighter.

Who doesn't love a great handbag? Matt and Nat has some amazing vegan handbags. I personally love this black vegan Hendrix bag in their collection. Slightly edgy, yet very wearable.

Scarves are a great go to gift when you don't know what to get someone. They can wear it with their coat...or to add some color and texture to their outfit. What I really love is the eternity scarf. This is the "circle scarf" that you simply loop over your head. It's probably one of the easiest scarves to wear because you don't have to worry about how you tie it. I love this Ecote Abstract Open Weave Eternity Scarf available at Urban Outfitters.

What is your favorite accessory to give or get???
